With The Country Looking To Wind Farms And Nuclear For Future Energy Sources, Can Solar Energy Panels Help The Public Be More Self-Sufficient?
After the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan and the following snags with their nuclear reactors, some questions have been raised once again over the safety of nuclear reactors during natural disasters, and the forethought of plans to build new nuclear reactors. Wind farms have also been queried for maybe not being able to provide the quantity of electricity that they are manufactured to do. These snags may well pose snags when it comes to important decisions for the electricity future of the country, even so there are already several major wind farms in existence both on land and off shore, but how many times have we seen wind farms not running and wonder if they really are the best method of creating renewable energy.
For members of the public who are concerned over these snags and want to try and provide their own electricity to reduce their reliance on national supplies, they may well investigate Solar Energy Panels, since they can provide electricity on dull days as well as sunny ones, although at a lesser level, of course. They may see the Solar Energy Prices of about £12,000 for a usual family home, for a Solar Energy Panels set up of 2.2 kW, which may be able to provide about 40% of the family’s electricity demand. So, apart from saving about 40% on their electricity bills to start with, the domestic customer also can make about £900 per year from the Feed-in-Tariff.
