Xbox 360 Console: Just What Are the Three Red Lights?
One of the hottest game system on the market today is the Xbox 360 Pro System. With the latest graphics technology combined with some of the best games available, you will definitely have a lot of fun with this particular gaming console. Xbox 360 live enables you to play online with other players around the globe or just with your friends. Whatever types of games you like to play, you can be assured that xbox will have it.
The Xbox system is a first class gaming system, however often time you can expect to face some technical issues when your are playing with the game. The ring of death is one of the problems. If there are 3 flashing red lights surrounding the power switch, then you can be assured that you have a problem with your console.
Ever since the release of xbox 360 pro system this technical problem has existed. The lights around the power button each have a specific meaning that you should be aware of. You will have a good idea what the problem is, if you understand what each light represents.
If you see one red light illuminate then that means that you have a system breakdown and that the console has undergone a hardware failure. The gaming console is overheating when 2 red lights come on. It will normally tell you to shut down the machine to let it cool down.
The most destruction indication is when all three light come on an this condition is known as the red ring of death. When you see the three ring of death happen you will have to ship your console to Microsoft so that it can be repaired.
Normally, people experience this problem while they are playing a game. The system just shuts down without any advance warning. After shutting it down and letting it cool down for an hour or two, they turn the system back on again and this is when they will see the three red rings of death.
Microsoft extended the warranty of their Xbox system due to the many problems they were having and from the adverse impact the ring of death had on their console. However, you need to remember that prevention is better than repair. Always try to keep your console cool and well ventilated to circumvent the feared red ring of death on you Xbox system. Remember that poor circulation can cause overheating which will damage the console and cuase the red ring of death. Avoid placing your Xbox 360 on display cabinets. Rather, put it in a room that is well circulated or get a small fan and direct the wind at the machine while you are playing.
You should always use your Xbox system in an air conditioned or well circulated room. Good circulation will prevent your console from overheating and thus avoid hardware failure. Good ventilation is absolutely necessary to avoid the red ring of death.
