Is There A Bias At Online Casinos?
Today we are going to be looking at the possibility of there being some kind of a bias at online casinos and whether or not this could be exploited. There are a lot of websites claiming that a bias does exist, with roulette in particular, I am going to discuss this now.
There is a website called Andruchi that is particularly responsible for claims like this, the author claims that there is bias in several roulette games. Next, he will give you a roulette strategy and you will need to use it in order to exploited this supposed bias that exists.
The bias however is not actually there, the casino he accuses of having the bias is actually being promoted by him. So, the author is conning people in to going to certain casinos and playing there, wrongly thinking that they will be able to make money doing this exploit.
Next, I will speak about what specific claims he make about roulette bias, and why this is not true at all. He says that Noble Casino has a 2.98% bias towards the colour red, to exploit this you will need to use a martingale progression to bet on it.
So, you begin by betting a dollar on red, then when you lose, you double your bets until you win eventually. Even if a bias like this one did exist, your winnings will be completely wiped out after only one losing run, so you wouldn’t be exploiting anything by doing this.
What you would need to do really is keep on betting the same amount, then you will eventually end up with a profit from the bias. But, as I said earlier, there is no such thing as the bias, there is a bogus casino promotion going on here and nothing more.
Lots of websites exist that make such promises and claims, you should ignore all of them. If anyone really did find some kind of bias I don’t think they would start making websites and telling people about for free.

A modeling approach for operational flash flood forecasting for small-scale watersheds in central Iowa. $49.99 National Weather Service (NWS) forecasters currently have access to a limited set of models that may not be suitable for all Iowa basins or forecasting situations, such as small, fast responding streams. Flexible modeling systems that allow model configurations to change according to the watershed characteristics may provide useful predictive information to supplement existing forecast products. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center's Hydrological Modeling System (HEC-HMS) was examined for operational streamflow forecasting using two watersheds in central Iowa. The Green & Ampt equation was used for the infiltration component with soil parameters derived from the Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) model run at Iowa State University. Observed precipitation data was obtained from the city of Ames' flash flood Alert network and radar precipitation estimates were obtained through the University of Iowa's Hydro-NEXRAD project. Calibration and verification of the modeling system was done through an operational perspective to test the model's applicability at NWS Weather Forecast Offices (WFO). Model development was done using observed precipitation and was conducted in several stages. The average peak timing error and average discharge peak error were reduced from 5.3 hours to 3.0 hours and 46% to 25%, respectively, from the first to the last calibration attempt. The calibrated model was tested with bias corrected NEXRAD precipitation estimations, which were derived using the Constant Altitude Plan Position Indicator (CAPPI) algorithm. The bias correction scheme was computed and applied at the watershed scale. When used as input to the HEC-HMS model, the NEXRAD precipitation estimates increased the peak timing error to 8.8 hours, but the discharge peak error decreased to 20%. |
